Difflam Lozenges provide temporary relief from the symptoms of sore throats and mouths, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, mouth ulcers, local pain following mouth or throat surgery and pain following dental procedures. These lozenges have an anti-inflammatory action and contain an anti-bacterial agent.

DIRECTIONS: Suck one lozenge as required. Difflam lozenges work for up to 3 hours. For more severe cases use Difflam every 1 to 2 hours. Maximum 12 per day.

PRECAUTIONS: Uninterrupted treatment should not exceed 7 days. Not recommended for children under 6 years. Should not be chewed. If symptoms persist see your doctor.

INGREDIENTS: Each lozenge contains: Benzydamine Hydrochloride 3.00mg, Cetylpyridinium Chloride 1.33mg. Also contains Saccharin Sodium. This product contains 31g isomalt per 12 lozenges (recommended maximum daily dose). Products containing isomalt may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.

How it Works

Difflam Sugar Free Lozenges work to quickly stop pain and reduce inflammation while helping to prevent complications resulting from bacterial or fungal infection. Each lozenge actually contains two active ingredients:

How to Use

Difflam Sugar Free Lozenges are very easy to use; suck on one lozenge as needed to manage pain. In most cases one lozenge will provide relief for 2 to 3 hours, but in some cases more frequent dosing may be needed.

In general no more than 12 lozenges should be taken per day unless instructed otherwise by a doctor. Exceeding 12 lozenges may result in an increase of side effects, including dry mouth, altered taste, nausea, headache and diarrhea.

Similarly, treatment should not continue for more than 7 consecutive days. If daily pain relief is still needed after 7 days, a doctor should be consulted---it may indicate a more serious problem.
