Tadarise (tadalafil) is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. This product's active ingredient is identical to that found in the more widely-recognized brand Cialis.

Like many ED treatments, Tadarise is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) enzyme inhibitor. This medication can interact---sometimes quite seriously---with other PDE5 inhibitors, hypertension treatments, enlarged prostate treatments, and nitrates. Men taking these other medications should avoid use of Tadarise or discuss potential risks with a doctor prior to taking it.

PDE5 inhibitors also lower blood pressure; in some scenarios they're used to treat hypertension. Men with low blood pressure should use Tadarise with extreme caution, and again ideally will speak to a doctor before taking it at all.

Most men who do not have low blood pressure and are not taking the above medications find Tadarise an effective solution to alleviating ED. In tablet form the medication begins working about 30 minutes after taking a dose, and remains effective an impressive 24 to 36 hours. During this time, with some stimulation, an erection firm enough for intercourse should form and remain long enough to acheive ejaculation.

Using Tadarise

Tadarise is simple to use; a tablet is taken around 30 minutes before sexual intimacy. Finding an effective dose can be a bit time consuming, however:

• Most men are started on 10 mg tadalafil.
• Men taking other concerning medications, who have other concerning medical conditions, or who experience side effects with 10 mg doses may be instructed to take 5 or 2.5 mg doses, or advised to avoid PDE5 inhibitors altogether.
• If no side effects are experienced but 10 mg does not produce sufficient results, dosage may be increased up to 20 mg.
• Some men find PDE5 inhibitors do little the first couple of times they're tried; assuming no side effects develop, men are encouraged to give the medication a few tries before increasing dosage or deciding that it simply doesn't work.

Once an effective dose is found, there are a couple other things to keep in mind throughout treatment:

• Do not take more than one dose per 24 hours.
• Do not take more than three doses in 7 days.

Tadarise works by improving blood flow, to the penis as well as elsewhere, which is why it is also sometimes used to treat hypertension. The improved blood flow to the penis allows an erection to form, in the majority of cases regardless of the underlying cause of ED---be it mental, physical, due to other medications, and so forth. It may not work in certain physical cases, such as if the penis is deformed or has been injured; a doctor should be consulted in these cases.

A few lucky men find that use of ED treatments eventually lead to a complete resolution of the condition, but most men will need to continue taking Tadarise or a similar medication until when/if the underlying cause is addressed. This can be as simple as changing medications that cause ED, or as complex as making significant lifestyle changes. In some cases the underlying cause is not known. Tadarise is not a cure for ED, but for the majority of men it allows them to take back the bedroom, along with the accompanying boost in self-confidence, making or maintaining pair-bonding, and numerous other benefits.

Warnings Before Use

Side effects and other complications from Tadarise are similar to other PDE5 inhibitors, ranging from mild and transient to potentially severe.

Mild side effects include:

• Nausea
• Headache
• Muscle aches
• Cold-like symptoms

The above should be mild and transient, and generally aren't cause for concern. If they become severe or persistant, however, medical attention should be sought.

Rarely more severe side effects develop. If experiencing the following---even if transient---do not take more Tadarise and seek medical attention:

• Changes in vision or hearing
• Priapism (an erection lasting 4 or more hours)
• Low blood pressure
• Chest pain
• Confusion

Some men are at greater risk of developing adverse reactions, particularly if there is any history of:

• Heart disease or heart attack
• Liver or kidney disease
• Stroke
• High or low blood pressure
• Sickle cell anemia or hemophilia
• Stomach ulcers
• Retinitis pigmentosa
• Penile implants or abnormalities

If the above apply, it is strongly recommended that a doctor be consulted prior to starting treatment with Tadarise or any PDE5 inhibitor.

As mentioned above, Tadarise can interact with numerous other medications. Double-checking with a doctor or pharmacist before mixing medications is wise, particularly medications that influence the cardiovascular system.
