Viridal Duo (alprostadil) is a vasodilator used in treating erectile dysfunction. Administered by injection, it temporarily relaxes muscles and widens blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to the area. Ultimately it allows men to achieve and maintain an erection firm enough for intercourse.
Viridal Duo is not a cure for any type of erectile dysfunction, but allows men to continue sexual activity while the underlying cause is found and addressed. The medication is effective in over 80 percent of men, regardless of the cause of the erectile dysfunction.
Restoring Sexual Function with Viridal Duo
Dosage should be determined by a doctor; in fact the first dose is usually administered in a doctor's office. This serves to both instruct on proper administration as well as find the lowest effective dose; higher doses put patients at greater risk of serious side effects. Subsequent injections are performed at home by the patient.
Each Viridal Duo kit contains a number of syringes and sufficient medication to fill each syringe with one dose. The solution may need to be prepared at home; instructions will be included if this is the case. Once prepared, solution should be used immediately and any unused solution disposed of.
Though initially intimidating, most men quickly become accustomed to administrating the medication:
- Wash and dry hands and penis.
- Draw the prescribed dose of solution into a syringe.
- Clean injection site with an alcohol swab.
- Hold the penis against your thigh to keep it immobile.
- Fully insert the needle into the spongy tissue on the side of the penis.
- Do not insert the needle into visible veins.
- Press the syringe plunger until solution is gone.
- Remove needle and press an alcohol swab on the site for 5 minutes to prevent bleeding and bruising.
- Dispose of used needle; do not reuse.
- Choosing a different injection site and alternating sides of the penis with each use will reduce risk of bruising or scarring.
- Do not administer more than once in 24 hours.
- Do not administer more than 3 times in a week.
Precautions & Adverse Effects
Viridal Duo may not be an ideal solution for men with certain pre-existing conditions, and should be avoided or used with extreme caution in some cases:
- History of priapism (prolonged erections)
- History of bleeding problems
- Use of blood thinners
- Penile implants or deformities
- Conditions which cause thickened blood
- Inflammation, infection or other issues in the penis or kidneys
- Any condition which makes intercourse inadvisable
- Skin irritation, bruising or scarring at injection site
- Flu-like symptoms
- Dizziness
Use of Viridal Duo may increase risk of penile fibrosis.
Viridal Duo should never be used as an enhancement in men not suffering from erectile dysfunction; doing so may result in permanent damage to the penis.

great product!! I did not read the literature about describing this before I ordered...make sure you get the starter pack if you have never ordered this.. but...I got lucky, These cartridges fit in... the EDEX applicator just perfectly, so if you have used EDEX in the past (there seems to be stock problems with it lately) the applicators will work fine with this.

Great product. In the medical literature there is a question as to whether it works better in combination with drugs like Cialis or Viagara. This question has not yet been answered with research. In... my experience it definitely does work better in combination. Viridal Duo is great and life changing, but over the course of a year I had to increase the dose, and adding Cialis let me not increase the dose.
