Corlanor

Administration

One year and older: 0.3mg/kg by mouth twice a day and up to 7.5 mg by mouth twice a day.  If kids weigh more than 40 kilos, the starting dosage is 2.5 mg orally twice a day with meals. This may be increased every two weeks, based on the doctor’s guidance.

Side effects of Corlanor

Corlanor has the potential to cause serious side effects, including:

• Fatigue

• Dizziness
• Weakness

Precautions

• Extremely low blood pressure

• A serious heart ailment
• Heart failure symptoms that have recently worsened
• Serious liver disease
• If they rely on a pacemaker to regulate the heart rate

Interactions

Corlanor has the potential to cause major heart problems if combined with other drugs. If the patient uses some additional drugs for cancer, infections, malaria, depression, mental illness, asthma, heart issues, high blood pressure, or HIV, their risk may be increased.
