Branded products are typically more expensive since consumers are paying for the innovation and the company's reputation. However, the Saxenda generic version will tend to be cheaper as it will rely on existing Liraglutide technology to produce a similarly working drug. 

Will Saxenda Generic Drug Be Used for Diabetes or Weight Loss?

Saxenda (liraglutide) prescription was initially approved by the FDA in 2014 to help treat obesity. Its primary purpose is to help people lose weight.
